Your Best Ideas Shouldn’t Disappear When the Microphone Turns Off

I’ve done a lot of speaking. Podcasts, summits, workshops, stages, interviews. And for years, I did what most speakers do. I showed up, shared my best stuff, thanked the host, shared the replay once or twice, and then moved on to the next opportunity.

But here’s the crazy part: every one of those appearances had something valuable in it. A great story. A really good quote. An idea I explained in a way I’d never explained it before. A framework I didn’t even realize was a framework. Something that could help the next person understand what I do—and maybe even want to work with me.

And most of it was just sitting there.

We spend so much time trying to figure out what to say next that we forget about all the really good things we’ve already said.

Think about your own appearances. How many podcasts have you been on? How many summits? How many workshops have you taught? How many times have you been handed a microphone and shared something you really believed could help somebody?

Now here’s the bigger question: What happened to all of it?

For most of us, not much. Maybe we shared the link. Maybe the host promoted it. Maybe some people listened. And then everyone moved on.

But your ideas didn’t suddenly become less valuable because the appearance was over. In fact, some of your best ideas may be sitting inside conversations you’ve completely forgotten about.

I discovered this when I started looking back at my own body of work. There was so much there. Ideas I could bring back to my audience. Stories worth telling again. Quotes I loved. Frameworks I could build on. And opportunities to lead people back to my business.

That’s when I realized something: The appearance may be over, but the value doesn’t have to be.

That idea became Encore Replay.

Encore Replay helps speakers, entrepreneurs, and experts go back into the appearances they’ve already done and uncover the ideas, stories, quotes, frameworks, and opportunities that are still sitting there. Then it helps put those ideas back to work.

Because I don’t think we need to spend our lives constantly trying to come up with something new. Sometimes the thing your next client needs to hear is something you’ve already said.

And that’s worth an encore.
